I can’t believe Christmas is almost here! It’s my favorite time of year! I love the festive decorations, the cozy music, the yummy treats, and the best part – spending more time with my family. When do you start listening to Christmas music and decorating your home? I’m in the start-the-Christmas-music-November-1st camp. We just went on a weekend trip to the mountains, and listening to Christmas music while driving around the chilly mountain tops was essential!
As much as I love Christmas, this time of year can be hectic and stressful (check out this post if you need helping relieving some of that stress). There’s the shopping, programs, parties, baking, decorating, sending Christmas cards, etc. However, I recently found a company that can help out with that last one! In hardly any time at all you can check a big item off your to-do list and sit back and enjoy the holiday season a little more.
The company is called Basic Invite. They reached out to me to sponsor this post, and I am so glad they did! This company is such a great find. They specialize in printing custom invitations, holiday cards, birth announcements, thank you cards, and business cards. I’m so excited to share this company with you all! Sending Christmas cards, personalized with your family’s photos and a message, is a great way to spread a little joy to your loved ones this season.
If you’re preparing to send Christmas cards or Christmas party invites definitely check this company out! I just received my custom holiday cards from Basic Invite, and I’m loving them!
What I Love About Basic Invite’s Custom Holiday Cards
The Beautiful Designs
Basic Invite offers over 1,000 designs for holiday cards, including Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, and generic holiday cards. They have so many beautiful designs! You can customize most of the cards with one or more photos of your family. They also offer more generic “corporate” cards businesses can send to employees or customers. Or, you can use those ones if family photos didn’t happen before needing to get the Christmas cards done!
The Many Color Options
After you choose your favorite design, it’s time to customize your card. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that gives you almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. You can change the color of every element on the card. With over 180 colors to choose from, you can make sure the card is exactly the way you want it! Below are the many color options you can choose from.
The Striking Foil
Instead of choosing flat color, you can choose gold, silver, or rose gold foil on many of thel designs. You can choose raised or flat foil. I love the look of the raised foil. It really elevates the look of the cards and makes the words pop!
More Customizations
There’s even more ways you can customize your family’s Christmas cards besides the colors and photos. You can change the shape of the card and have the corners rounded or bracketed if you choose. You can change the type of paper they’re printed on – Signature Matte, Smooth Coated, Premium Shimmer, Double Velvet, or Double Thick Matte. I ordered both Signature Matte and Smooth Coated for my samples, and I prefer the quality of the Smooth Coated. On the back, you can choose to keep it simple and plain (if you want to hand-write a message), choose a pattern or colored background, add more photos, and/or add a printed message to your family and friends.
Custom Samples
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that actually allows you to order a printed sample of your cards before you place your final order. That way you can see what it looks like in real life and feel the paper quality before you order several cards to send out to your loved ones. You can evaluate your samples and make any changes they may need to make sure they are perfect! The only downside to this is that they are not free samples. It is more costly to order single cards than it is to order several. The more you order, the less per card it is (as low as 82 cents each!). But it’s a great option if you want to see your card before you make the investment to order them all.
Colored Envelopes
Who wants boring white envelopes? With Basic Invite, you get to choose the color of your envelopes. They have over 40 different envelope colors to choose from. With so many options, you can make your envelope match your cards. Another great thing about their envelopes is that they’re peel and seal! You can close them quickly and securely, without getting a paper cut on your tongue!
Address Capturing Service
This is one of my favorite features about Basic Invite! They offer an address capturing service that allows you to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other social media platform to request your friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are then stored in the your Basic Invite account and can be selected during the design process. They will print your return address and the recipient’s address on your envelopes at not cost! So all you have to do when you receive your order is put the cards in the envelopes, seal them, place a stamp on them, and send them off.
Mailing Service
If you really want convenience, this is for you! For a small added cost (35 cents extra per card), Basic Invite will actually put your cards together, address them, stamp them, and mail them out for you! This service is a no-brainer! They save you time and money, because 35 cents is less than the cost of a stamp.
The Deal
If you want to save even more money, here you go! Right now Basic Invite is offering 40% off holiday cards to my readers with the following coupon code!
Here are some example of beautiful baby announcements and showers invitations they offer as well:
Those are some of the many reasons why I love Basic Invite, and I think you will too. Go check them out at basicinvite.com.
